Getting started

How professional hoarding cleanup works

Reaching out is often the hardest step. Here is exactly what to expect, so there are no surprises.

The first contact

Everything starts with a confidential conversation. You can call us or send a message, and we will simply listen. There is no judgement and no pressure — many of the people we help have lived with a hoarding situation for years before reaching out.

If you would rather a family member, carer or support worker makes the first call on your behalf, that is completely fine.

Assessment and quote

Where helpful, we arrange a free visit to see the property. We look at the volume of belongings, the level of cleaning needed, access for our vehicles and any health and safety considerations. We then give a clear, written, no-obligation quote.

  • The size and type of property
  • How much needs sorting and removing
  • Whether deep cleaning or biohazard sanitisation is required
  • Access and parking

The clearance

On the day, our team works methodically, room by room. We sort as we go and set aside anything you have asked us to keep — photographs, documents, jewellery, sentimental items and anything of value. Nothing of importance is thrown away without your say-so.

For larger or more severe properties we can split the work across several visits so it never feels overwhelming.

Cleaning and sanitising

Once a space is cleared we deep clean and, where needed, sanitise it — dealing with dust, odours, and any biohazard risks using the correct equipment and protective gear.

Responsible disposal

We donate reusable furniture and goods to charity wherever possible, recycle what we can, and dispose of the rest responsibly as licensed waste carriers. Keeping items out of landfill matters to us and to many of the families we work with.

After we leave

You are left with a safe, fresh, comfortable home. If you would like, we can suggest simple routines to help keep things manageable, and we are always happy to come back if you need us again.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be there on the day?

No. Many people prefer to step out while we work. A relative or support worker is welcome to be present instead.

Will you judge me?

Never. We understand hoarding is rarely about mess — it is usually about something deeper. We are only ever there to help.

Ready when you are — no pressure, no judgement

Tell us a little about the property and we will arrange a free, confidential visit or a clear quote over the phone. You decide the pace.
