Why preparation pays
Buyers struggle to see past clutter, and an unsanitary property will attract only the lowest offers from cash buyers. A thorough clearance and deep clean almost always pays for itself in a higher sale price and a faster sale.
The order of work
- Recover all valuables, documents and keepsakes first
- Clear belongings room by room, donating and recycling where possible
- Deep clean and sanitise, including odour removal
- Carry out any minor repairs and clearance of gardens or outbuildings
- Present the property ready for photographs and viewings
Probate and estate sales
If you are selling on behalf of an estate, we work to your solicitor's timescale and can provide an itemised account of the clearance. We take particular care to recover paperwork, photographs and anything of sentimental or financial value.
Getting it valued
Estate agents will give a far more accurate valuation once a property is cleared. We are happy to coordinate with agents and can usually turn a property around quickly when a sale is time-sensitive.
